Lecturer in Missiology and Wesleyan Studies

Phil is an ordained presbyter in the British Methodist Church. He was lecturer in theology and religious studies at Westminster College, Oxford, before spending six years as E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, near Chicago, in the USA. He specializes in Wesley studies, missiology and the theology of evangelism; and is currently president of the Wesleyan Theological Society. His research and publication interests seek to combine theology and discipleship in the Wesleyan tradition with the missionary challenges of contemporary culture.
