Summer School

A great time was had by the 54 participants aged 18-70+ from Nigeria, Finland and the UK during Summer School 2014. The sunshine shone on our 4th year of the Summer School, with a tremendous time of learning, fellowship and encounters with God as folk studied one of the five different streams; Bible, Theology, Worship, Preaching and Wesley. As well as enjoying the sunshine, the en-suite facilities and the great meals here is some of the testimony from the participants:

'Refreshed and renewed', 'Helped me refocus my Christian life', 'Taught me to live a simple, loving, caring Christian life', ''Enabled me to expand and gain more knowledge', 'Made some amazing friends','A great boost and encouragement', 'A good retreat to revive my personal spirituality and service in ministry', 'A wonderful space to pray and reflect'.

Participants shared in social times, meals, devotions, evening worship and in the reading of the gospel of Matthew. Going off site, some visited the national attraction Chatsworth House, just around the corner, others went into Bakewell, just  7 miles away, whilst others made it up to the top of Curbar and Froggatt Edge to look across the views of Derbyshire.

We now look to 2015 and our 5th Summer School. Put the dates in your diary - 15-19th June 2015. Costs will be £210.00 for all teaching materials, meals and refreshments, and £375.00 for all teaching materials, meals, refreshments, and accommodation in single study en-suite accommodation. There is a slight reduction for couples sharing a double room. Students already signed onto one of our validated courses are entitled to a small subsidy on the overall cost.

If any of this sounds like you, then why not join us here at Cliff on our expanding Summer School programme in 2015? Open to all aged 17 years +.
