These are just some of the testimonies from participants who in recent years have attended Summer School courses at Cliff College, Derbyshire delivered in June and August, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to take Cliff teaching ‘on the road’ to our capital city this November for our first ever Autumn School.
An Autumn School? This 4 day mid-week course is for YOU if…..you want gear up for study, or maybe further explore what Cliff College has to offer. You might be a group leader and want further biblical and theological knowledge. Maybe you are studying as a Methodist Local Preacher, want to grapple with some theological issues, or want a refresher course for your worship and preaching. Are you a church member, and want to better read, study and understand the Bible story? You might even just want to come to reflect on your understanding of God. If any of this sounds like you, then why not join us on our first Autumn School programme for 4 days of learning and fellowship in London.

This non residential course is to be delivered at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, Monday 6th – Thursday 9th November 2017. The timetable will be 11.00 – 5.00 pm on Monday, and then 9.00-5.00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The heart of the 4 days is our ‘Introduction to Theology’ course. This exciting course starts by asking ‘What is Theology?’, then offers an overview of the major theological themes, covering subjects including The Attributes of God, The Trinity, The Theology of Creation, Christology and Pneumatology, amongst others. It is an excellent study course which has got rave reviews in the 2016 & 2017 Summer Schools.
The teaching will be delivered by Dr Ben Pugh from the Cliff College Faculty, supported and facilitated by Course Leaders Ian White, Senior Tutor, Cliff College and Richard Armiger, Regional Learning & Development Coordinator of the Methodist Church Discipleship and Ministries Learning Network. As well as the dynamic teaching, participants will share in morning devotions, midday meal and refreshments, and personal reflection as part of the week.
Costs will be £200.00 for all teaching & materials and refreshments and lunch. A non refundable deposit of £50 secures your place. The balance of fees should be paid on arrival.
