Festival 2019 – preachers announced

Our preachers at Festival this year include Ashley Cooper, Andy Hawthorne, Grace Wheeler and John Kirkby, all amazing evangelists in their own right. They will be speaking at our morning or evening worship events, helping us to explore our theme ‘Into all the world’.

Paul Smith will be leading the morning Bible studies, unpacking the how, why and where of evangelism.

Ashley Cooper is the Principal of Cliff College. He is a Methodist minister and has previously worked with the Connexional Evangelism team as well as leading churches in Cheshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Andy Hawthorne is the founder and Chief Executive of The Message and an in-demand international evangelist and communicator. He was awarded the OBE in 2011 in recognition of his services to young people.

Grace Wheeler is the National Evangelist for Youth For Christ. She travels the country telling young people about Jesus, and loves communicating the gospel to young people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Grace spent 2 years leading Youth for Christ’s street dance crew, Stance, before starting in the role.

John Kirkby founded Christians Against Poverty in 1996, a Christian debt relief charity recently featured in the BBC documentary ‘The Debt Saviours’. He is also part of the leadership team at The Light Church, a church plant in Bradford.
