Tropical deforestation is a driver of climate change, mass extinction and enforced migration. This session will focus on the stories of Christian indigenous leaders from Sarawak who are at the forefront of the struggle to protect the Borneo rainforest, and the work of a UK activist to support their campaign. The session will be delivered by Dr Hoon Seong Teo, an NHS consultant doctor and environmental activist from Malaysia, who works with the UK solidarity campaign Clean Up The Tropical Timber Trade.Lecture Room 1
