1–2pm | ECO-CHURCH Plenty Led by Green Christian | “Plenty!”, a small group discussion resource for churches on the economic drivers of the current ecological crises has been produced by Green Christian’s Joy in Enough programme. The workshop will cover the themes explored in “Plenty!” including: Inequality, Consumerism and advertising, The growth imperative and debt, Economic justice, The climate emergency, and Moving towards sustainability and wellbeing. | Lecture Room 2 |
2:30-3:30pm | JUSTICE | Tropical deforestation is a driver of climate change, mass extinction and enforced migration. This session will focus on the stories of Christian indigenous leaders from Sarawak who are at the forefront of the struggle to protect the Borneo rainforest, and the work of a UK activist to support their campaign. The session will be delivered by Dr Hoon Seong Teo, an NHS consultant doctor and environmental activist from Malaysia, who works with the UK solidarity campaign Clean Up The Tropical Timber Trade. | Lecture Room 1 |

4-5pm | JUSTICE Climate Action for Local Churches Led by Action for Hope | In this workshop we will consider and discuss ways that churches can engage with those not currently energised by the climate crisis, actions churches can take locally and ways the national Church might be able to help. This is a chance to share ideas, hear about good practice and ask questions. The goal of the workshop is to equip and empower people to take the learning from the weekend back to their churches. | Lecture Room 1 |
