Dr Robert Heimburger is Associate Chaplain at The Oxford Pastorate, a historic chaplaincy charity serving students at the University of Oxford. His main interests are in theology, politics, and social issues such as migration. He is currently researching forgiveness after conflict with Fe y Desplazamiento, as part of the Faith and Displacement Project at the Seminario Bíblico de Colombia (FUSBC).
He leads a formation group of graduate students called Christians in Academia, and he coordinates the biannual Developing a Christian Mind course for graduate students and academics. He is also Founding Editor of the journal, Word and World and chair of the Theological Advisory Group for the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.
He is the author of God and the Illegal Alien: Federal United States Immigration Law and a Theology of Politics (CUP, 2017). He lives in Oxford with his wife and two children.
