Our new short course in Schools Mission and Ministry was launched in the first week of September 2013 and was a great success, attracting over 25 students and participants. Run in partnership with Youth for Christ, the college offered this important one week intensive course to students on the BA in Theology and BA in Mission and Ministry courses, but also opened it up to other schools work practitioners.
The college are now offering the course as a Cliff College Certificate in Schools Ministry, which allows practitioners and others interested in schools ministry to gain a Cliff Certificate by attending the teaching week, and submitting a piece of reflective work on schools ministry. This recognises the important ministry that Christians can have in schools, and looks to further support good practice in the school environment.
The really great week, looking at both the theoretical and practical aspects of work in schools, covering prayer, worship, chaplaincy, inclusion & exclusion, religious education, work with young people with special educational needs and theories of communication. Is this for you in September 2014? See the Certificate in Schools Ministry page for more details of how you can apply, and help focus your work in schools.
