About Bill Davies
Bill’s early life and faith were nurtured in Blackpool Methodism, and he ended his days as a very active and supportive Supernumerary just to the north in Thornton Cleveleys. However, 'Doc Davies' is probably most widely and warmly remembered by generations of those who studied as Cliff College, where he served as Principal from 1983 to 1994. During that same period, Bill Davies was more widely and formally recognised as a Methodist statesman, serving as President of the Methodist Conference (1987-88) and Moderator of the Free Church Federal Council for England and Wales (1991-1992).
