Spirituality and Mission (SPIR)

This standalone unit is new for 2017/18, and offers the opportunity to explore the oft-neglected relationship between spirituality and mission. These two elements of Christian discipleship are often separated in the busyness of contemporary church life. But they were never meant to be! This unit offers a unique opportunity to explore how spirituality and mission might be re-connected, providing a great opportunity to learn and and reflect upon different traditions who have been able to do so in various ways, and applying this to contemporary missional contexts. This unit can be taken as an option for the MA, Diploma and Certificate programme or can be attended by anyone who wishes to do so as a Short Study Break or as part of a sabbatical.
