Diploma in Mission and Evangelism (Message Academy)

We are absolutely delighted to be working with ministry partners  Message Academy this coming academic year, and to be sharing in training alongside Sola Ayodeji and Rachel Kemp, the Message Academy Course Leaders.As part of their year long training, Cliff College is offering a Cliff College Diploma in Mission and Evangelism to those who take the Message Academy year. Message Academy is a year showing young adults that anyone can be an evangelist and includes cutting edge teaching on topics such as overview of the Bible, Character Formation, Promises of God as well as a whole module of Youth Work 101.  There is also a wide range of placements serving the homeless, churches, vulnerable adults, youth groups and street outreach. Not only that there is a vast range of opportunities for spiritual development, creative growth, communication skills and personal reflection.  Cliff staff will be supporting the development of the teaching curriculum and creative assessment, and sharing that with the Message Academy students both in Manchester and the students visit the site at Cliff College. With a heart for mission and evangelism, it’s great to be working together for the kingdom.

Cliff College Diploma in Mission and Evangelism

Alongside the year of discipleship and mission experience that the Message Academy year offers, all participants have an opportunity to take a variety of assessments, building up a portfolio of work which leads towards a Cliff College Diploma in Mission and Evangelism. Assessed at Level 4, previous students have found this an invaluable additional qualification as they have gone onto further study or Christian mission and ministry. Assessment options include blogs, creative presentations, book reviews, journals, Bible studies, school classes, oral presentations. Successful students are invited to receive their award at the college Graduation ceremony.

Sola Ayodeji & Rachel Kemp: Message Academy Course Leadership

Having previously been both a church youth worker and a youth offending officer, Sola has a passion to see young people grasp the hope found in Jesus. He’s been part of the Message family for a number of years – involved in schools mission, youth work and training evangelists.

Rachel is the Message Academy Assistant Course Leader. Having done a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and having led the course and similar courses around the world, Rachel is the perfect person to co-lead the Academy course. She has been part of the Message family for 3 years and joined the Academy team with Sola in 2019. She is a total people-person and so much fun to be around. She is easy to talk to and has so much wisdom to bring. Rachel has a background in mission and is a creative soul too. We are so looking forward to having someone with wisdom, creativity and a heart for young people on board.
