The lectures and the fellowship were wonderful’, ‘Huge inspiration’, ‘Engaging with other students made the learning experience communal and fun’, ‘My calling has been re-affirmed and I have been supported every step of the way’.

Are you studying to become a Methodist Local Preacher or Worship leader? Then the ‘Worship: Leading and Preaching’ Summer School is for you! Open to all aged 18 years +.
‘Worship: Leading and Preaching’. Led by a team from the Learning Network of the Methodist Church, and headed up by Bob Bartindale, lead officer for Worship Leaders and Local Preachers in the Methodist Church, Worship: Leading and Preaching is the authorised course for Worship Leaders and Local Preachers in the Methodist Church.
The ‘Worship: Leading and Preaching’ Summer School is designed specifically for those who are currently training to be Worship Leaders and Preachers. During the week, the sessions will be based on the “Explore” material in Worship Leading and Preaching, and will assume that students have completed the “Prepare” sections prior to the Summer School. Opportunities for discussion about building portfolios and other aspects of the course will also be available, and we will share worship and fellowship together. A great opportunity to meet with others from around the country who are in training.
Four streams will be provided for Worship: Leading & Preaching, covering (i) Modules 1 & 2, (ii) Modules 3 & 4, (iii) Modules 5 & 6 and (iv) Modules 7 & 8
