Course Information

  • Our courses are designed to equip and enable reflective practitioners, and therefore we understand the needs of people that are great at what they do, and want to know more, but might lack confidence academically. We also love to stretch the high flyers and encourage their research into new insights in the field.
  • All teaching is delivered by our experienced faculty or expert practitioners in your field of study. Plus you are learning alongside people that are also passionate about what you do!
  • Each student has the support of a Personal Tutor, and guidance is given during the teaching week on how to approach the assignments.
  • With a mixture of full- and part-time students on the M&M programme, we work hard to build a supportive community for all our students. Our students often comment on the benefits of the retreat-like atmosphere of the teaching weeks that include worship, Bible teaching and devotions, as well as the opportunity to laugh and have fun!
  • For those taking the course part-time, the usual delivery pattern is three teaching weeks (Mon-Fri) in the first year of study (Autumn, Early Spring, Early Summer), and two teaching weeks in the second year (Autumn, Early Spring).
  • For those taking the course full-time, six teaching weeks (including the Study Skills unit) are taught across the one year.
  • Part-time students will be required to complete an on-line Study Skills unit as they start the course, but all other units at Levels 4 (Certificate) Level 5 (Diploma) and Level 6 (BA) are delivered via teaching weeks (Mon-Fri) on site at Cliff College.
  • Students are required to complete 120 credits at Level 4 to achieve a Certificate in Higher Education, a further 120 credits at Level 5 to achieve a Diploma in Higher Education, and another 120 credits at Level 6 to achieve a BA (Hons) in Mission and Ministry.
  • Course fees (£2,995 p.a. part time, £5,990 p.a. full time – 2018-19) include tuition, assessment and validation by The University of Manchester. Food and accommodation during teaching weeks is charged separately.
  • It is possible to take an unvalidated route through the course by attending all the teaching weeks and submitting one or two pieces of work. This will entitle you to an internal Cliff College Certificate focussed on your specialism.
