The Young Adults venue gives those aged 18-30 opportunity to connect with other young adults at Cliff Festival.
We hope that you connect with all that’s taking place across the Festival programme, but if you want some time to join up with others of a similar age then check out what’s on offer specifically for young adults. We’re looking forward to meeting you – find us in the Chapel.
The Chill Lounge will be open most evenings, a relaxed space to chill, chat, play board games (if that’s your thing) or just snooze on a bean bag! There’ll also be opportunities for morning worship, Bible study and late-night worship together, as well as an activity every day at 1pm. We know that young adults are a hungry bunch, so look out for our sessions where there is free refreshments or food! Cake and Chat at 3pm will be a great opportunity to chat to the different guests from across site who will be taking a seat on the Young Adults sofa. Or join us at 5pm for Fired Up to find out what our guests get all passionate about!
Monday 27 May
| 9:30-10am | Worship | Start the day worshipping God together. We’ll be differing it up with some less traditional styles of worship, in an informal and relaxed space. Join in for this short time as we meet God together as a community of young adults. |
| 10-11am | Bible Study | Jonathan Dean and Christine Dutton, Methodist ministers serving in the Minstries and Learning Team, will join us again to search the scriptures. There will be plenty of chances to engage with the Bible in interactive and creative ways, both individually and with others. Entering the Promised Land: What are your hope and dreams for your lives, church and communities? Which scriptures can teach us to face our fear whatever the outcome, so that we can fully embrace what God has in store for us? |
| 1-2pm | Young Adults play games! | Come and let your hair down as we play some fun old skool games. Who doesn’t love a game of dodgeball?! (on the Terrace) |
| 3-3:45pm | Cake & Chat | Join us for cake and informal conversation with the guests on the sofa. Today’s guests are Our Atlantic Roots – an alt-folk music duo. |
| 5-5:45pm | Fired Up | Each day we’ll be joined by guests who’ll talk about what gets them Fired Up. Hear their inspirations and frustrations as they talk about living out their convictions. Today we are joined by David Hardman, the Methodist Liaison Officer in Jerusalem, who gets fired up about the situation in Israel/Palestine. |
| 9-11pm | Chill Lounge | A space where you can come and have light refreshments, play board games or simply chill & chat. So, if you’re aged between 18-30 years old be sure to show your face in the Chill Lounge as we would love to see you there! |
| 11-11:30pm | Chilled Worship | Come and close another day of festival with worship. Our evenings are an informal and relaxed space of praise and prayer where we gather together as a small community to meet God in a variety of different and creative ways. |
