A safe space at Cliff Festival 2025 for conversations, questions and non-alcoholic drinks.
Back at Cliff Festival by popular demand!
A safe space for everyone (even you!) to have conversations with contributors, friends and strangers. A place where faith talk meets real talk, where we find ourselves restored as we connect with God, ourselves and each other. Come to simply relax, bring your questions and maybe hear something that changes your perspective. Facilitated by The Methodist Church and All We Can. Drop in and make yourself at home any time between 11am – 11pm (closed for dinner and evening celebrations from 6pm - 8:30pm).
What's on at the Hope & Anchor
Monday 26 May
1:30pm-3pm | Faith & Geekery Play Dungeons & Dragons | Join us as we host an interactive tabletop role-play game that will explore themes around faith and roleplay. Warning: may contain fantasy violence... and poor attempts at accents. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. |
2pm-3pm | Ministries Drop-in | A drop-in session with one of the Methodist Church Ministries, Vocation and Worship team. If you’re sensing a call to explore lay leadership or ordained ministry, or considering worship leading or local preaching, this is a space to find out more and ask any questions in an informal chat. The Ministries team also support those already in ministry. |
3pm-4pm | Soap & Anchor with All We Can | Join All We Can for a soap-making workshop where you can explore what fulfilling potential looks like for you, your communities, and All We Can's local partners. |
4:30pm-5:30pm | It's Helen's Round with Helen Cameron | Join us at the Hope & Anchor for an intimate afternoon of wit and wisdom with the President of Conference, Revd Helen Cameron. For one day only, Helen’s picking up the tab - only this tab isn’t settled with cash, but with deep and meaningful conversation. |
9:30pm-10:15pm | Alternative Beer & Hymns | Fancy belting out a few Wesley classics and bopping along to some school assembly bangers in the Hope and Anchor? Then come and join us as we sing and share together in fellowship at Cliff Festival’s very own alcohol-free pub. |
It was wonderful seeing all generations meeting together, learning from one another and being church as a whole body in Christ.
