At this year’s 3Generate, Cliff College students and staff assisted with three venues: The Park, the Health and Wellbeing Centre and the Discovery Centre. Additionally, a few students assisted with the prayer team
The Discovery Centre was a place for people to come and learn more about God through theological sessions, with topics like ‘Can I be a Christian and believe…’, ‘What does it mean to say the Bible is true’ and ‘How to disagree well’.
The Park was a venue for people to go and hang out and take a quiet moment out of the event, to play giant chess or chill with friends on bean bags. They also had Lego workshops where people built their dream gardens and dream towns.
The Health and Wellbeing Centre was a venue for self-care, offering face masks and opportunities to make friendship bracelets while talking to the health and wellbeing team. They also ran some sessions over the weekend, one was a talk about positive mental health, another was a talk called ‘How God will help me to love’.
Additionally, a few students and Cliff Year joined the prayer team, which offered a place for anyone during 3Generate to come and be prayed for. Most people visited the prayer team during big worship or late-night communion.
Following the weekend, our students said, ‘I feel like we all got closer over the weekend’ and that, ‘everyone loved serving god together.’
