Bible, Gender and Church Research Centre receives AHRC grant
We are pleased to announce that the co-directors of the Bible, Gender and Church Research Centre, Holly Morse and Kirsi Cobb, have been awarded a grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
This grant will be used for the next two years to run several events as well as work on publications around the theme of Abusing God: Reading the Bible in the #MeToo Age. This project aims to provide a platform to connect academics, church, and charity practitioners, in order to develop new research into the intersection between Scripture and the lived experience of Christian survivors. The starting date for this venture is in April this year, with the first event planned for September.
